To help achieve this ambition, we are looking for a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Artist to assist in the design, creation and implementation of the game menu systems and related overlays for in-game presentation.

 

The GUI Artist will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop an intuitive and seamless UX
  • Design graphical elements you will need to build the UI
  • Work closely with the Creative Director and Lead Artist to create mock-ups and prototypes of UI features
  • Design and create art assets for use in UI creation
  • Implement UI features and flow
  • Assist in the design, creation and implementation of the game menu designs and related overlays for in-game presentation

Here's what we look for in a GUI Artist:

  • Games industry experience of user interface design
  • Excellent, proven graphic and information design background
  • Strong usability design/test experience
  • Ability to iterate on clear and complete user/data flows prior to development
  • Expert with standard art tools of the trade (Photoshop, Illustrator etc)
  • Knowledge of Scaleform, Javascript, basic HTML, XML and CSS is beneficial
  • Experience in 3DS Max or Maya is beneficial
  • Working knowledge of design solutions for 3D interfaces is beneficial
