I'm amped for Dark Souls 3, so in my free time last week I decided to bust out a sculpt of Ornstein's Dragonslayer Spear. It's mostly based on the version portrayed in the Dark Souls Design Works concept art book. I figured the tip could
really be imbued with lighting magic, so I took some liberties there.
I did the base meshes in Modo, moved them to ZBrush for sculpting, then moved back to Modo for UVing and baking. I was also testing out Knald, which I think might be a huge time saver in the future. Substance Painter wrapped up all the texturing. The low poly meshes are pretty gross ZRemesher creations, but they baked pretty well for some quick presentation shots, so all is well.

@XMFZ great work, I'd love to see more
@kiister07 Hey man, your knight looks great! Yeah, the smoke is just an alpha set on screen in Photoshop. All I did after that was colorize it the same blue as the glowing tip, and crush the whites a bit!
Last I played any DS, was late 2012, the fight against him and Smoug was so epic and challenging. Some even call them Biggie Smalls.
The spear looks awesome! congratullations!
