3DS Max not sharing UVs between instanced meshes?

So for some reason when creating an instanced copy of a mesh it seems to be creating its own set of UVs for each of the instances instead of using those of the parent and I can't quite figure out why. I have a small bush I'm trying to make (just made of planes) and the object I'm copying are two intersected planes with UVs. I Shift-Instance those, collapse all, check the UVs, and suddenly the UVs for every plane in the scene are there. What am I missing? <br><br>Any insight on this frustrating hiccup is greatly appreciated .&nbsp;
