Hello everyone, here is my second Unreal Engine project. I have recreated the Cerebro environment from the X-Men film franchise. The project took a few months to work on, and it taught me a lot about texturing and normal mapping. I did all of the modeling in Maya, textured it in Photoshop, and assembled, lit and rendered it in Unreal Engine 4. Give the video a watch if you are interested, and thank you if you do. Any comments or creative critique is welcome.
that is really clean and professional, well done! theres some heavy ao on the cerebro console desk thats the only thing I thought looked a bit like a video game.
Thank you for the comments!, Ged, you make a fair point, I can see what you mean about the AO, that's something I will take into consideration in the future! Skyline, Im not quite sure what you are getting at, do you mean that It should be brighter overall? Thanks!
A combo of that and more light coming from the light sources, right now you can actually see the wall where the white light in but in the movies the light usually occludes it out
Syline, I see your point, but I chose to have the lights slightly darker to create a look with more contrast, closer to the look from the earlier films. In Days of Future Past, which is what you have shown, the lighting is more high key, and to me is slightly less appealing. But I can see what you mean
XChris - Thank you! I saw that, its very nice, I did not see that coming at all!
