Middle Mouse Button won't pan in 3Ds Max

Hello,

I'm using the Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Darkfield mouse since its more convenient for portability for my school travels.

One problem when using 3Ds Max with this device is that the scroll wheel does not act like a middle mouse button; it can be pushed down but its designed to toggle the wheel to be loose or tight.

With that said what alternatives do I have to pan the camera?

BTW I've tried Logitech's driver software for this mouse, although there is a pan option it only pans forward and back but not left and right.

Customize > Customize User Interface > Mouse (assuming you're using a somewhat current version of Max)

I've followed your suggestion, while the Logitech MX Anywhere 2 does have a button under the scroll wheel when you look from top view, it doesn't work at all.

However, I do have another inquiry.  Does 3Ds Max have a toggle feature instead of holding a mouse button?

Don't have the same mouse but I map my forward button to middle mouse click, since I don't like pressing down the wheel.
