Everything gone in Maya scene after save

I worked on a project of mine for a while earlier, I saved it and then closed Maya... Now when I open the scene, it's completely empty. There are some nodes in the outliner, but they don't seem to contain anything. I think I've seen this problem before, but is there anything at all I can do to salvage my work? I saved as. I'm linking to the file if anyone wants to have a look.

Sorry for the double post but I thought I should mention that I opened up the .ma in a text editor to check for the #QNAN and #INF issue and didn't fine any instances of either, so that doesn't seem to be the problem...

Do you clear unnecessary construction history regularly? If not I'd consider working on that habit. Incremental Save and Auto Save can also be nice to use.

Sorry I can't think of any other advice.
