Where Is My Hammer and Shootmephrenia

Just wanted to share this 2 small free UE4 games I made that you might enjoy.

First of is a game I made for the 7DFPS game jam which is called Shootmephrenia. In it you have to kill no one but yourself. But that is much easier said then done because you have to ricochet you bullet over panels and then catch that bullet with your ragdoll body. The world is really glitchy with lots of material fx and I cut down workload by making all the assets just grey without textures which looks pretty cool with the lighting.

I'm guilty of doing some bad game art sins to get it all done in 7 days. The character body is hijacked from a old sculpt with head replaced, the low poly I generated and the UVWs as well. That obviously bite me in the but when I baked it and even more so when I rigged it. The gun is made without any normal baking, just a more complex model with mostly generated UV and baked AO. That turned out surprisingly good, texturing was a bit tricky though. Here are the models in sketchfab, it also show the concept of the game pretty good as well as the different cameras:

Hopefully one day we get a working "make low poly and bake it all" button! :)

The other game is called Where Is My Hammer and I entered with it in that PewDiePie game jam. Originally I just wanted to experiment with the destruction feature of the new Unreal Engine but then became totally hooked. It was very tricky and there are still lots of glitches though, but it is a lot fun none the less. Basically everything of the world can be smashed to pieces and you happen to have a hammer.

Game art wise there is not much to say since I had to keep it really simple because everything had to be build perfectly grid wise with no overlapping otherwise stuff could just explode when you touch it. I kept any shadows out of it since they had to be dynamic and would add even more to the already performance hungry physics, instead I ramped up the SSAO to like 120% which gives it a pretty unique look.
