Art Dump: Synthesis [Source Filmmaker]

Hey, I was working with a partner on a Source Filmmaker short (source in 2014? nuts, I know). Sadly, It got canned, but not before I finished all of the art. I'm releasing everything for community use, so I'll be dumping the art from the releases as I finish them.

I wrote up a few blog posts that dig deep into some really weird technical hurdles source throws up and using the new quixel tools for the source engine, and they're chock full of wip shots and stuff.

For now though, here's some finished pieces from the "Norad' scene environment. Mapped in hammer, modeled in 3dsmax, and textured with dDo and photoshop, it went from concept to completion in two weeks. The environment is composed of 6 environmental models, a desk, and a chair. In order to reduce render time and easily populate the scene, I made a set of low LOD desk strip models, pre-populated with minimal variation low poly actors on a simplified skeleton.
