Very early wip shot of my helmet. It looks rubbish atm., but I just wanted to show the direction I'm going as I don't have any ref sheet, or mood board.
I think it's because you have commented on this thread a couple times just saying you like it so the admin perceives that as just being an excuse to bump the thread up. Maybe add some more details of what you like or constructive criticism??? Maybe then it won't be an issue.
Well, turned out I had to reply to some kind of 'hello' forum thread to be able to post... posts.
I am sorry for this spam, I am just really enthusiastic about both this contest and your helmet!
I did not expect that all my posts would suddenly turn up... sorry!

No problem, it does good to see that also people from the chivalry community actually like my stuff.
@Magicspook Thanks @Zelfit Thanks. Yes this and some other hounskull helmets. That image is the helmet of an Milan lord. I've used mostly German/Austrian helmets for the silhouette.
So I've imported it today into udk together with some wip textures. I'm not really used to udk and don't know how to properly take high res screenshots so I took some screengrabs from the skeleton mesh previewer:
I worked on the sword yesterday. I was going for a more traditional very simplistic and raw type of design without any filigree details just like the helmet.
However I'm thinking about adding a hound for the pommel, to give the sword a bit more character?
What do you think guys?
Wow, I really, really like the bascinet and the sword as it is. Sometimes plain looks the best, especially for realistic armour. If you can make plain things look really good (which you have) you're set. This is a set that is going to fit in the game, and enhance it, without distracting from the style of the game.
The only recommendations I have is to make the helmet more identifiable as Agatha, and perhaps make the blade a little thinner, but that's only personal preference.
Congratulations on the Pig face, I absolutely love it. Fits perfectly with the theme and the agathian knight. IMO the sword could use a coupple of details and a "more historical" blade if that's a thing.
@zetheros thanks a lot for your feedback. I will think about it. @GRAT0R thx, there will be some more details on the normalmap. As for the blade, it is a real world blade from the 14th century.
I've finished now all the modelling tasks and will now focus on the textures (both are still wip)
@NBLM Seeing this image makes me think my critique was unfair, I may got tricked by the prespective shot and the fact that I was looking at it with my phone.
I've been working hard on the textures. The helmet is almost complete and
the sword is also nearly done. I wish I had more time for the textures, but I'm running out of time. (uni starts soon)
I will work on the sword one more day and submit it then.
I've submitted it today. I nearly freaked out with all this tax informations stuff that steam wants from you :poly127:.
But I got it done. ... now I have to wait *fingers crossed*
I've also updated the first post with the latest screenshots.
Excellent work mate! Fits within the game and looks good,If i were to offer 1 slight crit is that the surface of the plade perhaps is a bit too clean. could use more surface variety, aside from that it looks good.
For my sword I tried to replicate the claymore material, if you drop both swords in the editor the blades look nearly identical under the sun,
though mine came out a bit brighter and less dirty.
This is how the blade looks close up:

If you do add any wear to it, you shouldn't do too much. Not like long scrapes or rust marks.

The visor and the rest of the helmet are separate meshes.
I finished the lowpoly and all the additional normal map details. I will start to texturing the helmet tomorrow and think about a suitable sword. :-)

Check that out, shows you have to use Tiledshot to get a good size render.
that knight really is armed to the teeth...
@Magicspook thx, yes I guess you can never have enough swords.
@OVERLORD_ Thank you

@Magicspook Yes I've made one
