I just spent an hour trying to figure out why my Maya normal maps were making my mesh look like the Banau Rice Terraces in the viewport. It turns out I forgot to tell Maya to use my normal map as a normal map instead of a bump map. I proceeded to feel dumb.

What made you feel dumb today, Polycount?
