Hey guys, just wanted to share some Adera stuff I worked on. Adera was a launch title for Windows 8, and it's free with the OS. Turn-around for each scene was very quick. Virtually all meshes were sculpted in Blender and ZBrush, the scene was built in Maya, rendered in Mental Ray, composited in Nuke, and then painted over and touched up. A few other artists worked on these as well, including Lucas Morgan (tech art), Pete Wasielewski and Dan Brennan (painters/concepts), and Tatiana Souter and Chris Yoon (prop work). Many scenes were rendered so that the player could explore them in 3D as well.
really nice environment/foliage, also nice to see stuff outside of real time engines. Very well composed. It will be a gre8 challenge to take it into udk/ce3
@ambershee: Yeah, the game was sort of a point and click adventure/puzzler, so these were backgrounds. Obviously, also a lot of animated stuff on top (great stuff by Jerry Chan) to make it more dynamic.
@JZak: Woo! What's up Jay! You should do a dump of your work at HP too.
@silver_hoodlum: Thanks man. It'd be a lot of work, these could serve only as concepts really.
