Here is my first level and a character i made in Maya and udk during five weeks.The character is called Grimbald, He is Grim and he is bald. The Level is his house with a secret path down into his whiskey destillery.
It has been a while . I have done a few things since last time. Here is my Carnosaur head i made some time ago. I used The Carnosaur Warhammer model as a reference. I got a bit of a headache because it smelled a little bit of glue :poly124:
Here is the knight i made for a school assignment a while ago. The budget we had was 10.000 tris with a 2048 diffuse including normals and specular. It landed on 9996 tris.
Hey, some incredible stuff! I am really impressed with all of your concept art. I have a lot of suggestions for your portfolio. Mostly criticism, so don't read below if you aren't up for it:
The portfolio layout is great and easy to navigate, It's great to be met with your Concept art. You have chosen a great display image at the top of your portfolio which will keep others interested in watching more. The MOST important thing when it comes to Portfolios are: Only show your best work. The Warhammer Rivertroll looks good but the rest of your assets in the 3D category is not that impressive. If someone is going to hire you, it will be because you know how to do concept art. The fact that you know 3D is just a plus. But I believe that you already know this. Last thing, change the read font colour. It's very dark. You have to highlight or focus your eyes in order to be able to read. Try to go for white or just increase the brightness.
Here is an example of what I mean; (Changed the colour to RGB set to what I mean; (Changed the colour to RGB set to 255 and Alpha 78 %)
Hi thanks for the feedback. I agree that all the 3d isnt that good, and the troll isn´t perfect either. I will remove some. As you understod 3D isn´t my main focus, I just want to show that i have some experience. About the readabilty on the site, I use a wordpress site and the theme i have is pretty stupid. You can´t change the colour of the text. If you change the the backround to darker the text also gets darker and the same for lighter. I will look into it. Perhaps I have to change the theme. I have made a few changes to the site. I made the backround as dark as it can be and I made the text on the resume page bigger. I can see it better now but I don´t know if it is different on other screens. Unfortunately i can´t change the colour of the text. It may be some way if you know some coding but I don´t. I am not interested in learning either:P Atleast not for now. Is it any better? I also deleted the other 3d models so only the Rivertroll is left. Oh I'd say that It looks better now! Still, if you have the possibility to change the font I'd do it. Just saw some of your other drawings! They're great!
Some Work from a game project at futuregames from a few months ago. It's a vr horror game where mankikins comes to life and attack you. Here are some progress pictures from the development and how it changed. we ended with something pretty close to the last pictures.
