Hey Guys,

You can check out my profile here: http://www.weheartit.com/jocose

I have a lot of bookmarked and saved reference/inspiration images/videos. Gigabytes of it.

Awhile ago I started looking at sites to share & organize this content.

I looked at ffffound for awhile but it's invite only only and had a very limited feature set.

A brazilian guy named Fabio founded WeHeartIt after getting frustrated with ffffound. Its been called a "Pinterest Clone" but in fact predates it.

Unlike pinterest it saves a full resolution copy of any image you upload, is minimalistic, and focuses exclusively on videos & images, not words. It also has no limits on the number of images you can have in a collection (board), and no max limit on the total number of images you can upload.

I wasn't quite ready to jump on board since there was no way to group content within our own account, but they just added that feature.

The really nice thing about the site is that it allows you to see who is following you, who has "hearted" you images, and then you can in turn follow them and raid their collections for content, in addition to browsing and following popular tags.
To get to the full resolution version of any image click on it to get the large version: http://weheartit.com/entry/44635734/in-set/15215610-creatures-characters?context_user=ellinor_pilquist&page=2

Right click on the image and grab the url or "open in new tab" in chrome.

And finally change the word "large" to original.

That's a bit of a hassle to get the full resolution version I know, but it helps them save on bandwidth cost, and you only need to do that if the source site is down. Also, 9/10 i'm fine with the large version. I don't use this service to upload textures, just reference.

The site needs more creative content makers. Right now its filled with a hipster pinterest crowd, but it has the right features to be an awesome resource to any content creator.

Also it links back to the image source, and you can tag the image creator, so that the artist gets credit and good publicity.

I spend about 30 minutes a day or so uploading new content. If you sign up you can follow me , or just bookmark the page. If you do sign up maybe post your profile name so we can follow each other on there and get some exposure to new artist/ideas.
