Asset Workflows for Isometric Games?

Hey all. I have a noob question regarding asset creation for games like Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2. Could anyone point me to any documentation/workflows for assets for these or similar games? I've seen the Art of Diablo 3 GDC talk and Simon Schreibt's awesome blog.

I'd like to specifically look into the creation of buildings and terrain for such isometric games. Would you know if there are any such resources available?
