The Digital Animation & Visual Effects School at Universal Studios Orlando (The DAVE School) is expanding its faculty for its new Gaming Program.
The Gaming Program is designed to give each student practical and thorough exposure to each of the major disciplines needed for game art content creation. This includes games produced by both major game studios working on AAA titles and independent production houses working on mobile gaming and more. The first twelve months of the program focus on education and skills training. The last three provide an amazing studio experience that gives students practical skills working as part of a specialized team on the development of a game.
We are currently looking for experienced game artists with production experience in the following areas:
>Modeling- Hard Surface, Organic and Digital Sculpting
>UV and Texturing
>Level Design and Creation
>UI Design
>Animation
>Motion Capture and Simulation
Gaming Program Instructors will need to be well-rounded training professionals with understanding of the gaming production pipeline and high-impact, collaborative individuals.
Qualifications/Competencies:
3 to 5 years experience working in the gaming market.
Experience supervising employees , Proven effectiveness at group/team leadership and project management
Demonstrate experience in using technology in an educational setting
Proven ability to motivate and organize groups
Strong communication skills with proficiency in developing written communications and the development and delivery of oral presentations
Ability to research and apply new learning and delivery methods
Ability to support, guide and generally work with Students
Strong organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of gaming community, organizations and initiatives
Willing to travel to conferences and local events, as needed.
Ability to work in a close team environment with others
