I really like that simple rock texture, through the colorvariation is a little strong for my taste.
But I really love that details.

I really think the clouds filter should not be used for anything but marble. You could have gotten more natural results using brushes

I have to agree from time to time that the difference clouds can be reduced. The difference clouds is used so that we can get a lot of information to play with (places to add highlights and shadows) very quickly. Since I am working on layers, all I would need to do would be to reduce the opacity of that layer to almost nothing...so that the darker shapes are no more than just suggestions
