Turbosmooth model "disappears"?

Hey all,
having a problem here...when I deselect my turbosmoothed mesh it "disappears"
Not sure why. It only happens to THIS one piece. Not any other piece.

so It cant be my hardware settings in max right?

aaaand this happens as soon as I deselect?




and here's my settings..not sure if this helps

try panning or rotating. this sometimes happens to me with very hipoly meshes, can be fixed be ajusting camera

most likely need to delete the turbosmooth, reset x-form, invert normals if flipped, and reapply turbo.. then all good?

I tried adam's method, it worked after a few dozen tries lol
