Stylized painted texturing

Hey everyone, so I decided to start practicing hand painting textures. Keeping it simple to start out with, I began this sword yesturday. Critiques and feedback would be lovely, thanks! I plan on posting all of the textures that I do in this thread, possibly creating a mini scene.

Judging by your texture sheet, you have a nasty seam on the part of the handle thats not facing the camera?

The handle could be mirrored. The texture looks good but you have nicks and scratches in the middle but not on the edges. the sword just doesn't look good without a pommel :P

Thanks for the feedback guys, here is an update. I also started working on some grass today.

Painting grass has been quite painful. I also went back in and made some adjustments to the sword geometry.
