This 3D Pokedex was done by Robbie Nordgren This is an awesome reference!
I'm going to stick more towards the 2d one though. Working on the high-poly now.
Nice! Im excited to see how it turns out! as it is though, it looks like your turbo smoothed model could use some rounding out and softening on the edges. I will show you what i mean through interpretative dance,
@MrPoPo Thank you for the feedback! I'll take note, however I'm leaning more towards the 2D reference which isn't as smooth and rounded as the stylized 3D reference
@Cube Republic Uhm, I'm not quiet sure what you're talking about xD
More progress:
Took longer than expected because I had to readjust the edges for screen in order to have a square in the middle, while being able to chamfer the one corner of the border.
They aren't soft enough, those edges are going to be represented as pixels on a texture, if the details are a pixel or less on a 512x512 texture, they will not show up well.
Only immediate crit is that it doesn't really look like it can close. Seems like the screens (?) will stop each other from closing properly. Take a look at the first concept and how the door sits on the hinge also.
I do agree with MrPopo that rounding out some of the corners will be more interesting than what you have.
Can we see wires for the low poly? I'll probably have more to say once I see how the normal map is used.
As said your edges are still too tight. Additionally its a plastic molded material, meaning it should most definitely have softer rounded edges. Right now the normal map is doing nothing at all for the model.
I felt like any softer and I wouldnt have any edge control over the model. I had already unwrapped, baked and started working on the diffuse before I got responses. Maybe you guy's will think it looks better with the textures on it?
I decided to re do the texture for this, after learning NDo2 and Ddo. I'm really happy with how it turned out!
(The sketchfab in the previous post is updated with the new textures)
There are some texture issues that I'm aware of, but this object is small in game so, I'm not too worried about people noticing.

Going to start the low and unwrapping now. :'<
: / Unless your talking about different edges, or they in fact aren't soft enough?
I also gave a black material to everything thats floating geo

Edge exaggeration is key to learn.
