Sci-fi-ish Shotgun!

Hey everyone.

I'm getting somewhat close to finishing the high poly for this shotgun I'm working on. Got permission to use this concept by a guy named Justin Lee: http://cghub.com/images/view/388070/

I guess its kinda got a sci fi feel to it, but not really. Really likle his designs. I'll probably end up modeling a few more from his gallery.

Thought I'd post and get hopefully get some feedback. I'm trying to stick pretty close to the concept. Some shapes don't match up the same, but I'm not too worried about that.

I think it needs to be wider myself.

Another update. Finally finished the high poly. Going to start the low soon. Tried to do some renders but I've totally forgotten how to even use Mental Ray, so here's some shots right out of Maya.

A nicer render of the high poly. I want to have something for my folio that has all the proper presentation shots. Ended up having to learn a bit of Max and followed a sweet tutorial I found on the poly wiki.

Nice gun man! I really like it, it would be nice to see the low poly with all the maps!

I would work on making the rails make more sense, also I would think about the how it would feel to hold it, the butt pad would be painful for no reason. Also I would think about how if that's an adjustable stock how easy would be it to collapse. The connection between the stock and the shotgun looks fairly flimsy. Also if it's pump action I don't see how you could cock it.

Hope you get back to it though.
