I wanted to ask if anyone has solid Modo to Ce3 workflow. Without going through 3ds max. I don't have much much experience in using CryEngine. I know you should export maps as specific Tiffs through Photoshop. I know I can use xNormal plugin to bake maps (it works on the older xNormal version only though).
What formats should I use to export though ? From what I know you need special plugin for 3ds max to export geometry. Any way to go Modo => xNormal => Ce3 ? Any format I can use to retain vertex normals and be able to import into the engine ?
I usually created props and viewed them in 3ds max or Marmoset. I wanted to created enviroment and for now I'm thinking which engine should I use. Ce3 seems technically better than UDK but exporting seems like a pain (I know you can achieve as good looking scene in both; wanted to give ce3 a go though). Especially since I don't want to use 3ds max.

There is a .FBX importer here, although I've not tested it myself, it does come with some limitations over the official plugins:

And thats the result:
Here is normal map:
And here are meshes. I used 1 smoothing group since I want to check this synced workflow.
Any idea why it looks so bad in Ce3 ? I tried it also in 3ds max. With quality modifier from 3point studio it looks perfect.
