Color profiles borked

My colors used to work fine in photoshop but for the past few months when I import an image it is much brighter/darker in photoshop and then when I export it goes back to normal.

import.. normal -> brighter/darker -> export... normal


Ive tried everything... Tried changing the color profiles to see what one is right, re-installed twice. Is there some type of preferences I can delete to reset all this but keep my brushes?

Ive been coping with it by just print screening my finished work into paint and saving it from there but its getting annoying. Even prt scrning into photoshop ruins the colors

What kind of monitor are you on? Also, what are the different applications you are pulling content from? This is a common problem caused by moving between non color managed and color managed software.

Frell for me the opposite happens, I need to invest in a SPYDER soon cause i can't take it anymore.

If anyone lives nearby NYC I'd give what I could for a little assistance.
Lend then return type of deal just need 1 day or less right?
Pick It up then drop It off, going to try craigslist as suggested from the other thread about color profiles.

Just the same samsung monitor ive had for 2 years

I don't really pull content from anything, even if I MAKE it in photoshop it messes up on export

Ok my colors are also messed up in paint and gimp... What the hell

I never get a print screen saved thats the same color as the real thing...

Put everything on SRGB, from windows to PS...everything...including monitor. Colour management sucks!
