Um.... textures? There are none... that is a photo of the Weta ray gun prop he is using for reference.

As for the raygun. It seems there are a fair amount of discrepancies from the designs. I would try to find more ref as I am sure it is out there.

Thanks for the notes! super helpful,I appreciate it.
I cleaned up the mesh but I'm still getting a little bit of weird shading,Looks pretty minor though Ill probably resolve it in texture.

Goliath was always my favourite out of the WETA rayguns, looking nice.

Did you just project the texture on to your model? That's what it looks like. That's a very big no no. If you didn't, then you really need to rework your materials in to a higher res. That texture doesn't look good at all.

imo i think it handle is too round, if you look at the ref, it looks like its more flat one th side surfaces. overall looks pretty good though.

Yeah I wasn't going to keep the texture from the projection it was just to get a block in so I could mark off areas in 3d coat.
