Haven't had alot of time to work on it but here is a small update. Slapped some quick textures just to help with the concept. This is still the base mesh. Once I'm done that I can move on to sculpting.
@boybawang: Thanks. @lotet: Also thanks. It's still in the base model stage. Detailing is coming. @moderators: As suggested, can I get this moved? or how do I move this thread?
Looking for critiques/suggestions, particularily on the gray metal. Personally, it looks like really smooth, shiny stone and I'd like to achieve a wartorn weathered metallic look. The gold is me just me playing around with colors.
Aside from the inside of the mouth, I'm calling the head done. The changes are small, but they are there:
I would not sculpt cracks, scratches, rust and other small details on metal surfaces, but would paint them on the diffuse and specular maps instead without any normal bump effect. Otherwise your armor might look like a leather, stone or some soft material (depends on specular). You can sculpt a couple of big cracks\damages to get the helmet a wartorn effect like it was damaged by a stroke of a sword, but not too much and not too huge. Dark grey and goldish colors look pretty good.
The face skin texture looks too dark and quite dirty and at the same time the eyes are too bright. They don't match the skin tone\brightness therefore he looks like a zombie or a biorobot or something like that At least the eyeballs themselves are too bright and there is too much contrast beetween the iris and the overall skin.

and ye, the armors looks great, maybe you could implement some engravings other cool stuff into it though, cause its looking a tad plain right now.

Time to move on to the body.
