Bit of an update for those interested: Blender roadmap 2.7, 2.8 and beyond http://code.blender.org/index.php/2013/06/blender-roadmap-2-7-2-8-and-beyond/
Confirmed - 100% Blender "Of course this is all Blender! and the rendering is again the same realtime glsl" -Kfir And his specs: Windows 7 Quad Core 3.4ghz AMD Nvidia 650ti 16gigs Ram
I think it's great that Blender is improving so much. When I graduated 7 years ago, paying $3000 for Maya was tough pill to swallow. Now these newer kids have a nice alternative if they need a cheap program to complete some paid gigs.
Hey guys, please, sign this petition to add the Merge modifier to Blender. https://www.petitions.net/add_merge_modifier_to_blender 7 Don’t forget to validate it by mail. I know there are several posts on RCS, but even with that, nothing append. So, I’m trying something else. Thx for your support
Seems like the installer doesn't register the application properly. This is the fix https://blenderartists.org/t/blend-files-not-using-preview-thumbnails-in-windows-explorer/643180/7 Edit: Just a quick point you don't need to run it as admin if you only want to register it for yourself.
Thought I'd throw this up here for posterity, and in case it's useful to any other Maxxers with an itch to try Blender 2.80 ;) Vids are up to 7 now. Going to add some more in the coming weeks as I learn more..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqKoUqbzn1Q&list=PLFR9irzqqKRp7rCwrRSKE9pIIxfj0Dl7G
trust me, I've been 'reading up' on these things for the last 6 or 7 years and Im able to add a keyframe and move something about and press play etc, but anything more complex and the entire NLA/Dopesheet/Action Editor all bcome confusing and i get lost easily. sometimes things aren't meant for us.
