Hey Larry, in my experience: 1) Yes you should definitely ask for something upfront. A shorter job with a smaller payout I'd probably ask for half up front and the remainder on delivery of work. For larger jobs maybe ask for a smaller percentage in advance, its basically just a way to know that they are good for the money.… -
