Question about how cryengine "white levels"? I've notice I have to change a shaders' diffuse color to sometihng like 128 otherwise it'll be overblown / washed out. When I load the default test map level, I see all their assets are perfect & the shaders' diffuse are 100% white. Anything like a global light probe level… -

Hey Klash thats looking nice. How are you doing those ceiling lights? Are you using a glow in the alpha of the diffuse? Or one of those light shaders? -

With those curves, is there a function to create a curve and then make the mesh deformed following the curve? For example i make a long cylinder, with 5-6 sides and subdivided 5-6 times, and then i can make it following a parabola... I found this function in blender, is there a same one in 3ds max? And, it's a wire... so… -

Hey Esselle, I use xnormal almost completely, as for normal map issues, in my experience, I've known people who have done it for years and it never is 100% error free, will say one thing though, it will clean up allot better after you get a diffuse one there, also it seems the plates on the middle module there, the ones… -

Okay i filled the empty space on my 1st uv map, so today i will working on the textures for this objects (diffuse, spec, gloss, alpha). I thinking about to saving the spec, gloss and the alpha into one file like spec to R channel gloss to G and alpha to B channel, and a mask for the reflection to the alpha channel maybe.… -

Normal tests. Baked with hard smoothing groups; then baked with all smoothed... Both yielding wierdness. Took a while til I realized the .tif compression was set to Diffuse (As opposed to Normal map @__@); SO, be sure to set the compression correctly D: And then a, cryengine question. Material related. Started making low poly geometry for all the props (except mechanical pieces). I definately have a better grasp on transfer mapping now- in comparison to what I knew prior to this project. low poly door in maya (basic diffuse map and normal map) I got all the pieces together and threw them into UDK but ended up with black… -
