The script gets the first HDRI, does 8 renders by rotating the HDRI every 45 degrees, save the renders and load the next HDRI in the directory. That wasn't it, but the average line script with the straighten option selected looks just like the script I described. That script collection also has a bunch of other useful looking scripts.
Well the script from Epic games is the best however it's only up to Maya 2020, the simple hair uv script works as a script so it should work in every version of maya, these scripts are only if you want root hair uv's.
@Flynny: I found this script and the concept to store the Maya Script into Dropbox really interesting. Note: I have insttaled the script but when I click to a button, they don't launch the script.
for scripts to work, they need to be in the proper directory , so maya can source them when starting up. try to source the script manually using the script editor file -> source script
