anything past the original ofp is bollocks.. they might have pimped the looks, but the bugs ofp had have never been taken account of and bohemia obviously didnt listen to the die hard community. i somehow thought that dragon rising wont be any better..
Thanks. I tried exporting another .fbx from UDK and taking back into Maya but then the new triangulated mesh's smoothing groups are locked (not editable). The hard edge issue remains in UDK whether or not I have a normal map on the mesh, or even the appropriate one.
Posing seems kind of awkward. It makes it too hard to see her face, and makes her look like she gets her mannerisms from Jack Sparrow. Try to make her balanced even by matching her feet to where her arms are.
Red areas are concave areas, green areas are convex. soooo. you can use the red channel to easily mask crevices for things like dirt and AO. The green channel gives you a mask of the models hard edges, this can be used as a base for wear.
I want to say what I mentioned is only what I tell myself, no need to take it to heart. I heartily endorse taking a break. but, what I tell myself still stands, working hard towards a goal will pay dividends, imho
Good job on this, she looks great. Good attention to detail on her finger nails too. Also, try darkening your background on all the images to a dark grayish color instead of light gray. Right the light gray is making hard to read the model.
Ah...I didn't catch that. I did as you said and yes, it fixes the hard lines, but now I can't seem to get the specularity to show. I hooked up a multiply with a constant and the spec map and pumped it from 1 to 15 and still no luck.
Yes it will clear your hard drive of all files. It will do it when you insert the dvd and go through the steps to installing. It will ask you what drive to put the OS on and then ask you to format it. So do all of your backing up beforehand.
These things are hard to come by, that's why they go for so much on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/xbox-360-power-suppl...1QQcmdZViewItem I was sort of in the same predicament. It took over a month to get my power cable repaired. Luckily I was able to borrow one.
Hey parralax, yeah i know what you mean its just hard to get an insight to what it would look like in 40 years time. Here are some updates with better lighting and emmisive maps added, looks a lot more futuristic.
