Looks very nice ! :) I really dig the blending on the ground. Did you guys used some Witcher 2 references ? (which is a good reference by the way) It's looks like a lot the dwarf level to me.
Are you sure? I have 4 gigs in my box and while running the x64 version it uses roughly 27% of that after a clean install. Although there could be a limit to the usage, and adapted to 2 gigs of RAM..
Download VERTEX Vol.1 from here http://www.artbypapercut.com/ The article about hand painting is a true jewel (among many other stuff) As a side note: I cant wait the release of Vol.2 :)
Hmm, cheers, dude. I'll look into that, too. I've been having problems finding a good online UK reseller. Tried 2 shops this morning and both of them crapped out at the checkout stage, bah.

I use 2 fans at opposite ends of my apt pretty much 24/7. One blowing in and one blowing out. Works pretty well except the the metric tonnage of dust I collect.
Seconded. My lightbox is one of the best things I ever bought. I have a 2' x 3' Portatrace. I don't use it all that much, but it still has a special place in my heart.

There is a fix for the OpenCollada plug-in for Maya 2013 x64 if needed : https://github.com/KhronosGroup/OpenCOLLADA/issues/166 Personally I can't use the FBX Collada (2013.3) as it crash Maya after 2 or 3 exports.
