STREAM GOING ON TONIGHT: RIGHT NOW (9:30PM PST-ish) >>>http://www.livestream.com/curtbinder/<<< I might have some people come chat via skype and anybody is welcome to pop in and chat and ask questions and whatever they like.
You can use a sobel filter to calculate the normal, thought you need 9 taps into the edge mask texture. When packing the texture in a clever way (ie group 2x2 texels in RGBA channel), then you would only need 4 taps.
Actually it's kind of crazy. I'm not sure what the sight range is but the attack range of the tempest they're showing is 22 compared to a coll w/range which is 9. The swarm host looks really cool too, man the games going to be so crazy again!
Whats weird though is I had it turned off in max 9 but it worked fine. Also just tried this option and its still snapping, but not to the grid, but consistently off the grid, like where it snaps is the same distance between the line as the other... if that makes sense?
[ QUOTE ] Nope. The plot takes place 5+ years after the second film. Superman goes to search for Krypton after some astrologists find out where it was. He's gone for 5 years and then finally returns. [/ QUOTE ] 9 years, I think they said...
K, i added both of you . Me is happy right now! I have a long weekend, and i am going to play TF2 all night, after my job (which i should be done around 9 or 10 mountain time)
Agreed I was just experimenting and switched back to DirectX 9 although now when in vertex mode none of the blue vertices show up in the view port?!? I've checked the show vertex in viewport option too in preferences and they're still missing :S
Would a good plan be to meet at the tube station beforehand? or Nandos? We might have to email around each others numbers so theres not 6-9 people waitng around a few meters from each other, awkwardly glancing at one another.
Somewhat related...When I was in college people would ask me what I studied, and I'd say "Game Art and Design". 9 times out of 10 people thought I said Gay-Art and Design. That always led to fun conversations. :)
do you know, the original meaning of decimate only means to reduce by 10%. As punishment for failure/mutiny, roman solders were split into groups of 10, and through random selection one soldier from each group was executed by the remaining 9 </random factoid>
