Hey guys, Took aaaaaages, but finally I've baked the high poly to the low mesh. Here's a few marmoset pics (just the normal map atm). There's still a lot of errors that need fixing, and I still need to add the ammo belts (baked those separately). Currently at just over 80k tris. Just working on the ID map for quixel atm… -

I have got the M11x Alienware notebook, which cost around £800. From owning it I wouldn't say that it's ridiculously priced as it's an amazing laptop. It's running 3ds max with a 16 million triangle model pretty smooth. I would recommend it, and recommend just save up for one. -

Yeah, it's hard to say really. On a 400 tri model you can almost count them on screen and tell if it's 400 or 800. Seeing as how he said faces and the majority of the model is quads I just assumed it was quads. Either way my point still stands, even at 9000 tris I don't think it can be considered 'low poly' -

Yeah, that's what I was realising, my plan for the modules was too small. Considering the number of buildings I was thinking I needed to have lots of re-usability, but then I ran into the issue I was explaining above, 8000 modules required. So in the end I guess the larger module will work out better, but I can't have too…
