Finished the low poly and got to 62k triangles, a bit above my budget though but it's not too bad. Still need to add so much bolts and other details I'm gonna add with NDO. Still need to unwrap the hull though so that's up next. -

I think the most important issue is to make sure your scenes are well illuminated to show off your work, no good spending all that time sculpting skin pores if it dosen't show up in the renders. Just look into parts you may want in the future, and jot down the serial (1155, etc) find a midgrade cheapo kit to hold you over until you really need to upgrade. I learned most of what I know (including most of my zbrush work) on a 2gb ram, 150gb hdd, and a geforce 6200 from 2002. -
