Just to verify that ZB5 will in fact be a 64-Bit app. Read here : https://support.pixologic.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/66/0/is-zbrush-4r2-64-bit
I wasn't implying this was anything like game changing, here, only saying that I'd rather have it than not. And that's purely personal, because as of my last few projects I've been doing a lot of flicking between Maya and Zbrush, most of which was entirely avoidable if Zbrush had some really basic functions in the…
So I missed the first and second day stream. Can anyone give me the lowdown on what they added to ZBrush? I cannot find anything feature wise about it on their site :\
Well last time they've added Trim Curve which generates triangulated mesh. I think that was just the first step. I wonder will they announce Zbrush 5 or just 4r7 this time.
Some of it is kinda cool. But most of it isn't super impressive. My opinion may change once I jump in. I would rather have seen a Zbrush 5. +1 for 64bit, though.
I'm excited too, Pixologic always adds really cool stuff to zBrush and it has been more than a year since 4R6 was released so I can't wait to see what they have in store this time. I'm planning to watch whatever streams I can, but the Friday Pixologic presentation, which I assume will be showing the new zBrush, is at 9pm…
+1 I'm not giving them anymore money though till they provide some production ready tools for dealing with topology and UV's as well as sorting out the myriad of bugs that plague the internal handling of UV's from other packages. I had to buy 3dCoat to deal with the sculpts from Zbrush, I've started sculpting with it and…
The low-poly tools really impressed me. As someone who uses zbrush a lot my mouth was literally open in astonishment when they started poly modeling out of nowhere. It's exactly the type of thing I wanted and what they needed to do at some point. There was a void in zbrush's capabilities that needed to be filled and it…
I think you are completely missing the point of the summit, and are passing that assumption on to everyone in the audience (who I'm sure know how to use the provided schedule). This isn't a three-day ZB 5 commercial. Pixologic did not even hype that announcement; fans are just running wild with rampant speculation because…
right now we work on 7 games, all run through me at one point so i have tons of instances of max open, tons of files in PS, zbrush, often times running engines etc. that adds up quickly :D
