Lookin great so far man, keep at it! I think the area above the trigger looks kinda bland in comparison to what the film prop actually looks like, but I can see thats a difference in the concept. http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs46/f/2009/231/7/a/arc_gun_from_district_9_by_deamon88xyz.jpg

I thought it was time I graduated to a new forum. One where more people posts work and offer more effective comments and critiques. Not so hot with textures, so excuse the textureless models. All comments and critiques welcome. <u>The Joker</u> 1980 Triangles <u>Gambit</u> 2726 Triangles 2472 (Character) + 254 (Trenchcoat)
I am down if you're okay with a former PNWer (of 4 months) and LA person showing up hehehe My 2D sketch stuff: http://jadeeyepanda.tumblr.com/ I also can rap! (Harmontown ep 204): http://vocaroo.com/i/s0uBSVhFhXPc Also podcast!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUHAqbZ_GSA
of course i don't want to assign fresh materials, but keep the texture assignments as they were. the only script i found and goes in the right direction does not work with my maya 7. maybe the code is outdated. last update was 1999.. http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/rendering/misc/243.html
I have exported my textures from the substance as 16bit tiff. Halfway through inputting the textures marmoset crashes, any tips on optimizing performance or alternative renderers? Specs for my computer Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB
All I get is a a 231 white colour where the UV's are? The script isn't working. I had separate objects that all had a different Diffuse BSDF surfaces with different colors that I merged into one object then tried exporting the color layout with no success. What am I doing wrong?
Saw this guys stuff before since UI falls under my area of work as a 2D person and I like to scope out the competition. Meh. http://www.adamthornton.co.uk/New%20folder%20%2834%29/crashed.html http://concept-on-mac.deviantart.com/gallery/1033029#/dkepo7 Press download image on DeviantArt.
Another update! Enemy #2: A Terror Turnip. Managed to get it down to 134 triangles, which I think is pretty good for something round :) So far I'm enjoying low poly and low detail hand painting, goes quick, which is great for One Game A Month projects :D
