Hello, I used to use a software that projected an existing geometry (lowpoly) into a highpoly geometry. I used this to reproject our base body lowpoly geo into Body scans. The software worked like the following: You mark certain amount of points on the lowpoly mesh, then mark the same points in the same order in the…
Hi! We got this assigment to do a lowpoly at my school. I decided to do a creature/pet. We are allowed to have 500 polygons, mine is currently on 424. Here is my concept: and my model looks like this: My Uv's looks like this: Feel free to give me feedback! :)
Hiya everyone! I'm trying to de-lurk a bit, LOL. Here's something I've been working on. It's a lowpoly elf girl (600 tris to be exact). I haven't really decided on the colors yet, I was just testing. I got her unwrapped, so I will start texturing her soon.
Here´s the final version of the lowpoly version of 'Fongoid Chief' creature from Creature Box. It´s all screengrabs from 3DMax viewport (shaded version is from ZB, of course). I´ve also uploaded a turntable (also a screengrab!) for those who like it! http://vimeo.com/15204819 Hope you like it!
Looking through the lowpoly thread I've seen a lot of these cool 3D models. I have a background i spriting and pixel art, so this kind of stuff is right up my alley! Problem is I can't seem to find any tutorials about this style. I've tried to learn as much as I can on my own, but some documentation would help a ton.…
Hi guys I'm going through my first ever model starting from a sculpt and taking it to textured low poly. So far this is my workflow... 1. Create Sculpt in Zbrush. 2. Decimate/Export to Maya and create Retopo Lowpoly with QuadDraw. 3. UV Unwrap Lowpoly. 4. Polypaint sculpt in Zbrush 5. Create all texture maps using…
Hello i am new in the forum. I have this Lowpoly gun and i want to unwrap it, can somebody help me with a basic tutorial or something that could help me?. Thanks in advance.
When i want to send something to bake in marmoset i always need to dublicate the lowpoly or change the name after exporting to remove the ''_low'' suffix. I think that would be a good idea for the baker to recognize the mesh without suffix as lowpoly. You would not only remove the need to change the name after exporting,…
Baking is one of my biggest problems; I still struggle with it. I am doing a hardsurface 'character' for the first time and I sculpted the Highpoly in ZBrush and made the retopo in 3DsMax The edges in my normal and ao are not very clean and I feel like that is not the bake, but hte lowpoly? I am baking in Substance Painter…
