What I would love to see someday is a game art museum. Something that has in depth descriptions of the art styles of that game/series, concept sculptures, concept art, final 3D models on display and giant replicas of characters and such. It really wouldn't be that far fetched in 10 years or so. It really wouldn't be that…
ah. k. hmm.. is ignore root translation set in the anim editor too? By replicating it with that setting it may be the cause. Is there any root bone motion in your animations (non matinee driven movement that is)? .. I seem to have a thing for problem solving and debugging. may try to replicate this later in a basic scene.
Hey guys I would like to share the book i did recently part of a bigger project I'm working on but for now i posted it separatelly. Instances are still mesh items, so they still have their own pivot and center. I believe you are looking for Replicators, not mesh instances. Keep in mind you'll need to enable replicator drawing under Viewport settings ("o" key), drawing and control tab to see more than just their bounding box.
Ref boards ! So I found a lot of sweet reference online. Lots of good angles and closeups for the most part. Obviously a toy model but it's proving to be useful for this first phase of the blocking! Now, not every replica here has the same exact detail and identical pieces, but that's not a problem. I'll be extrapolating…

Q: can I submit asian, mayan, oceanic, turkish weapons (a scimitar for example) or is it strictly period based? A: Anything that could plausibly found in europe/middle east up until the 1500's is fair game. These don't necessarily need to be replicas or period accurate items, as long as the design looks believable enough…
Scope in the ref is a Replica.. most definately. theres good pics of real deal on the pixagogo site. scope looks better in size now, acog on such a short smg doesnt make too much sense. eventually you could fit a docter red dotsight instead of the backup ironsight on the acog. the line of sight vs fireline would be…
You should be looking at photo reference of a specific real world location. Look closely at the photos and try to analyze the material layers required to replicate that look. We have lots of great tutorials and resources for modular texturing on our wiki: http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/ModularMountAndBlade Plus check out…
i think the proportions dont feel right, maybe try to change them a bit, you can have an exact replica of the real life model but if it doesnt looks good in 3d then its okay to change it a bit. other than that the hard surface modeling is fine but still needs more details, dont know if you would add that during texturing…
