Your cowcatcher should at least be 2.5-3 times bigger than it currently is. It isn't their for show, it's for actually removing "obstacles" like cattle. In the believably side of a "Jet Train" I can't imagine to what would happen to the Turbine if something large and organic got thrown into it at 30+ mph.
Jet engines typically have a cowl in front of the turbine to direct air into it. Otherwise, it looks pretty good. Reminds me of the game Rocket Jockey. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-dvmY1VP18"]Rocket Jockey[/ame]. Your brushed metal looks great. What are you rendering this in?

This is one of the strangest ideas I've seen, I think you should make it into a jet bike with 4 fold away legs so the cat runs with rider attached till it reaches full speed then a turbine kicks in and woosh, off they go! I like Anuxinamoon's idea with the tail, but not a furry one :)
