Hello, I am looking for a 3D artist to help me with my capstone. I am creating a civilization VI mod for my senior year capstone at peabody conservatory. I work in audio and I will be doing all of the audio for this mod. The work that will be required is creating a 3D model of a Ukrainian Leader and animating if possible.…
MoP - I absolutely agree. It's the overdone spec+normal maps that drive me insane. HL2 does an amazing job with normal mapping tech. It's very subtle, so it looks realistic. oXYnary - While it's a great tool, Zbrush isn't quite available to non-pro mod teams. The photoshop plugin is great at making normal maps for…
I'm a little confused. What you have going on doesn't look like wet mud in the middle of a grass field. It looks like a pressed down area of grass, with water pooling in it. If it's supposed to look like mud, then make the decal more opaque. Make it 'take over' the grass more strongly. Put a lot more detail in that normal…
I'm a 3D modeler and I'm wondering if anyone is working on a post-apocalyptic (post-nuclear style or zombie apocalypse) game or mod for ArmA III and could use a 3D modeler? I model props, not characters. Only interested in multiplayer games or mods right now. My Skype is prophetraz1311.
I heard that in modern games mid poly modelling (mid poly + tiny tile texture atlases, anyways...) is much more preferable than classic low poly with hi poly bake. Is that right? And if so - then how hard high polycount hit performance and how much it matters to keep it low today?
Hello and thanks for your attention! Im currently planning an amateur game project which shall be a modification for Half Life 2. Ok this is something that bugs me for years now.. unreal games are incredible hard to mod (if you're not creating a complete new game) Is there a way to create an *.ukx file from given files without using the animation browser? i already have all files that should go in there in the right format. I just need a tool that…

Anyway, Heatwave is a totally new, ground up project that we've been laying out over the past six months. Now that the SDK's out we're ready to get started, however even though our team…
