Only one request, and that would be to do a simple rig and show it driving, watching the build up with the panning , followed by the close-up on the rocket/jet turbine, I was eager to see it tearing across a post-apocalyptic landscape. :)
it reminds me of the brute vehicles in halo 3, i like it, it's a cool concept are those propellers supposed to have steam coming out of the turbines if this were irl? that would be a cool effect if you ever render it with particles and such
It's awesome, but for sure just some artist's rendition. Some parts say "stealth" but that's all meaningless with those gigantic turbines and underwing struts. Others say "heavy lift" but then the rest says "speed", but those wings are NOT for a supersonic jet.
Thurban, I think you should move this over to pimping and previews rather than in the general discussion. Or to 2d and 3d discussion as I'm sure you would get more hits on how you can fix this. Spark
I think you should change the jet-pack design, the standard airplane turbine just doesn't fit this character very well. Go for something more aero-dynamic with more detail on the hull of the jet-pack so it integrates with the character better.
Hey Chris, I'm loving the orange on the turbines. That reads far better than the old pink ones and looks cooler to boot. The color variation adds a lot to the design and the overall look is much improved. Can't wait to see more progress man!
Update: Debating on if I should do the rear side, or just move into materials. The concept art is super low-res for the back. Only thing I can make out is what looks like a DJ turntable with turbine fans and some more wires.
If you don't mind jumping over the pond and working in NEW England. Hit me up. Tencent Boston is hiring:) www.tencentboston.com Awesome studio, a bunch of X-ILE guys, mixed in with some Turbine, Mythic, and fresh faces. Good luck to everyone! B
A what-if concept of a jet propelled plane inspired by the stagnated cultural progression that exists in Fallout. I've been referring to mostly WWII/racing aircraft for the overall aesthetic while incorporating some more modern tech, such as the turbine. It's clearly still WIP but I'd like to get some input as I go along.
