I'm looking to buy/license some 3d models in the style of the ones found at www.basilstudio.com. (i was referred here by the owner, vasili). They will be used in an upcoming game that some friends and I are making. They need to be: Low poly (somewhere in the range of 1500 polys) Textured (512x512 is a good size) Animated…
Very nice, looks great. There are some proportions off at the face that I realy prefer in the concept art. Snout is a bit longer, almost pulled forward (teeth too) which looks more menacing. I'd deviate from the concept a bit in the eye myself, give him a lizard pupil - but thats just me. Either way the eye you have atm is…
Sounds like that will be fun Mezz though slightly irresponsible letting little girls play with weapons :P Well, I'll be animating this guy by Three9. I'll hopefully be helping him on his game project animating his characters. I'll be killing two birds with one stone by getting acquainted with the lizard guy's rig as well…
It looks like a screwed up lizard man... Drop your brush intensity an start fine sculpting the proportions first, not the details. Get the masses sorted out and then start on the details. The anatomy differences between a t-rex and godzilla are massively different if you look at them and compare them. Shoulders are a prime…
Glad you guys like the idea, and the scans. sltrOlsson, I'll try and get some grass scans this week, it will depend a lot on how windy it is. If you guys keep watch of my twitter feed, you'll get updates when I post new samples. Thats probably a better solution than spamming forums every time I have something to show or…
Ta. Not only are the hands weedy in the first one, the arms were too short, but that's been sorted. I still haven't decided on what is going to happen with the hands yet, that's a job for some paintovers. The antlers are going to closer to caribou antlers when I get round to them (they are a straight lift from the Dom War…
The muscle structure on the calf seems strange, like it is too narrow, which may seem ok from orthographic sideview but not very realistic from perspective I think (in respect to the skeleton and the reference provided above). Suggested Creature leg muscle structure to search in Google images: Lizard leg muscles Bird Leg…
Helloo! So, I've started this project and I'd like to finish it. So I'm going to try and post my WIP here to help force myself into working on this project. Ideally, I'd like to have it finished before October, so I've given myself about 5-6weeks. So far I've looked a lot at lizard (komodo dragons specifically) and…

Good start on the dino there! I think you've got a disconnect between the dino itself and the spikes on the tail and the fins on his back. They don't look like they're protruding from him so much as they're just tacked on. I'd support them with geometry and texture. I'd also cut down a lot on the edge wear out on the…
