i was able to animate the UVs when i Plane Map the asset unfortunately when I export it the animation doesn't stick. Hope to find solution regarding this.

test complete! Got a bit more time to work on it. I'm blending control rigs sooooo easily. No point to use canned animations. Procedural animation is DONE animation. Thanks @cec7! I added smear controls as per request of an animator buddy who is interested in doing some anims for this guy. It was a lot of fun to figure out and I based it off of the tentacle rig tutorial by the awesome Pierrick Picaut.
if you have an IK rig setup already i'd just go straight to the animations and see if it makes for feasible workflow. I mean if you have a handful of animations to do that maybe amounts to like <50 hours of work, not sure that spending another 20 hours or more to make some additional rig features that might improve…
