If you follow the link to that sdk you'll see that it's 808 tris, so it's well over 500. -

som stupid props I did. Both have diffuse/specular, but no normal yet. O and both are using 512 textures bench: 808 tris barrel: 540 tris both -

Thanks a lot for the advice, I've redone the whole hilt and i got the poly's from 1540 to 808 there is probably more i could do but i'm comfortable with this number now here's a picture of before and after for the hilt -

Made this jet pack real quick for a friend's Serious Sam mod. Heavily inspired by The Rocketeer film, texture painted in Serious Sam style (that explains the insanely dodged look). I went a bit crazy with the polygons cause I was allowed the budget. :P 808 triangles, 1x256x256
