I am working with a flat plane and I am trying to weld some vertices. Some of the points have welded fine but others wont. Take this piece for example, the top and bottoms have welded but the ones in the middle wont. Same problem with another area: and another: thanks in advance for any help :)
Hi! I used to bake AO maps and merge them with diffuse maps in Photoshop. Now I read that you can bake the AO directly into the mesh vertices in 3ds max. Can anybody please explain to me how this works and how to use this in UDK? Thanks, Oli
Hi All, I'm extremely new to modeling and am trying to work my way through some 3ds max tutorials. On only the second one 'Modeling a rook' after I do: Lathe the basic shape: * On the main toolbar, choose the Select tool. In any viewport, select the spline representing the rooks profile. * With the spline selected, go to…
What I am trying to do is make the center vertices all uniform, so that the polygon is straight and is the same width at each vert. I think I saw a method for this a long time ago, but just can't remember. I tried planer and planer view... but that didn't work. Any advice would be such a big help.
So I'm using splines to do some cross sections, and I'm running into a problem. Because these vertices aren't lined up correctly, the cross section button goes all fubar. My teacher showed me a way to fix this, but I can't remember how he did it. Can anyone help me?
I've seen posts where it's said that there is no solution to this problem. I want to move vertices on my retopo mesh, with them being constrained to the original hi-poly model. They actually fly away in the outer space. Does anybody found a wayout to this?
Is it possible to do sub-components collision between sub-components of a mesh in Maya. For example you put one mesh in a rest position, freeze transformations, then simply select some polygons or points then calculate the collision between the two objects, and when the, vertices collide with the other mesh it stops ?
Hello everyone, I know this is a frequently asked question, but since googling for 30 minutes hasn't done me any good (and I'm kind of frustrated): Why do these two vertices not weld? I've tried checking whether the polygons are facing the wrong way, but they're not. It's also one object. I thought I would've understood…
