Been a pretty relaxing weekend! Updated my portfolio and relaxed quite a bit for a change :) Here's a drawing I did today! Trying out a different work flow.
Yeah, that might do it too, xforms. Also If you try to relax UV's in Max, and they don't want to relax as expected/are distorted/skewed, reset xforms and try again.
relax guys, the government isnt coming for your guns. nothing is banned or will be banned for years to come. so just relax, have fun and keep feeding the war machines.
I understand this feeling when I was doing car modeling. A couple of days of relax can help! The texture you did very precisely for me such as the rust parts/ peeling wall as well as the oil?or rust on the floor? Anyway they just need to be pushed a bit further. I like your modeling a lot! You mastered the shape! I am…
ah, how do i relax a selection? Right click > relax uvs doesnt seem to be working at all. not a huge fan of these mapping tools. 3DS max is very streamlined and to the point.
Relax it a bit, try the "relax tool" it's a brush, then use straighten UVs command when it's gotten closer to straight. Alternatively, use a planar projection from the correct projection axis.
Errr, try changing the Relax UV's settings, I think the defaults are stupid ones. Maya's Relax UV works better and faster than UVHelp when the settings are right.
that is fine but i feal like some of the outer UVs need some balancing this will likely stretch a lot in some areas. what i usually do is relax it a bit, straighten and relax again, then straighten until i have something that looks balanced
