Goodluck Tech, weird stuff, watch them dark alleys and dark parking lots, really, knew a mate in school whos ex hit him with a crow-bar at Walmart aprkign lot.
Hey man, this is gonna be good! Just first thing that came to mind is those old school towns and their organic streets and alleys. I wonder if you will be trying to achieve that kind of organic layout as you progress?
happy birthday twinkletoeshoneybunny now that youre legal, we can finally meet in person. I'll be at the dark alley, in my van, waitin with some candy i know you like parrots, heres one:
well we link to all kinds of stuff in the topic, but if you ask any of the regulars in there, it's not 'the polycount chat channel'. A lot of us are PCers, but there are plenty that are not. Think of PC as the bar, and m_d as the alley behind the bar.
I added another storefront to replace a mesh in the alley as well as a stairway, probably one of the last assets I'm gonna make before I start working on improving lighting and finishing up everything.
This sounds right up my alley :) I'm Looking forward to seeing more details come out about this. I really like the sound of up to a 3 man team, should be great fun.
Hey there! This work looks right up my alley as well! I encourage you to check out my portfolio as well on my website at http://nwwashburn.wix.com/aggroart I specialize in character and monster design :D
Well damn! Fantastic walls and cans and bike and... I would crit the ground for not feeling as good as the rest. Feels very flat, none of the cascade of broken normals I'd expect of unkempt back alley asphalt EG
Nice site by the way. I love the old town scene. I am currently working on something similar as my first project in UDK for school. An alley way set in 1880's London. Good work.
I agree with Frenetic, the 'clinical' tone to the lighting contradicts the slightly against the 'back-alley' feel of the Environment. A nice little example. Perhaps experiment with the amount of lamps there are. By reducing the amount, it may provide a softer contrast. Peace, Beardy.
