Present suggestion (art books)

my girlfriend asked me what kind of art/ referance books I would like for christmas and I have no idea. I'm not exaclty sure what I want. Does anybody out there have some suggestions that I can pass along to her?

Capcom Design works Is a great artbook too, and Dont forget the Star wars Field Guide, some great creature designs in there too.

I personally can recommend the HL2, MGS1, and FF IX books.. very cool (especially the MGS1 artbook.... if you can find it)

if you like HL2 then i also recommend the "raising the bar" book. i'd say tell your gf to order it off amazon.com since it's cheaper, but then it wouldn't make christmas then

I got the book "The Making of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" which is very nice. Loads of concept art, storyboards and pics of the CG in different stages of production

there's plenty of new and reissued Brian Froud books in the shops at the moment, "The World of the Dark Crystal" is particularly good ...
