re-branding

I've been this nurturing for more than 11 years, is going to be transformed into a brand. Selling strange one-off goods, vinyl / papercraft toys, posters and so on. (existing content is already populated to hawkenking.com)

From my old lozenge / nintendo / delonghi logo which first appeared 10 years back or so, I've boiled it down to 4 variants for the re-brand. Having trouble deciding to be playful with it or not: please help.

(colours are only there for differentiation - grey is safe, orange is playful)

I'd go for the top design, but in orange. It's a vibrant, eye-catching color that fits your intended range of products (especially the vinyl toys - very cool), but I think the two head icon graphics on the same baseline looks better.

Whatever you decide, good luck with the rebranding and expansion plans!

I would say the outer line of the heads are too thick...they bunch around the eyes too much. Try giving them a slightly thinner line, but keep the line thickness difference you got going on with the horns.

Nice though. The japanese should eat that shit up.

4th. The bottom-most. Maybe try a variant of that, with a touch of the grey in it somewhere, like the fill colour for the eyes, horns and the "d" that's rising up to meet?

I think the monster figures are great.
Honestly I don't think you need the 'd' or the male head to be off-line. With the strong continuity of everything it looks too much like an afterthought. And a bit like a Play Dough logo :P

However you could very well make the male taller, or the female shorter - but still keeping the continuous shoulder connection. Bigger and smaller heads kinda.

I know its very cliche to ask ... but what about making a stamp of this with black ink on craft paper or cardboard box. I know it's been done since ... forever! but since you might ship goods it might be interesting to see!

looks like we are going for one and four. One for straight branding - website and such - four for packaging and so on.



The site will run in Japanese but the target market is people who like strange shit I guess. Working on vinyl resin heads that fit on kubrick figures, hopefully will get picked up by mediacom at some point but I'm not counting my chickens.

Saw the Halloween pictures and was blown away. Love everything you've got going on, and the re-branding of Dadako seems less a re-branding then a natural evolution, really. Looking forward to future output.
