Hi all,
I'm the founder of a small indie studio building a first-person co-op restaurant management sim in Unreal Engine 5. Think the hands-on cooking loop of the popular "job sim" games, but with real management depth: skills, staff, equipment upgrades, and growing from one restaurant to several.
Before you skip past another royalty post, here's where the project actually stands:
The work: the game's map. A small, walkable neighborhood, roughly 2-3 US city blocks, with around 3 restaurant spaces that sit naturally in the environment. Style target is realistic and grounded. Environment art and worldbuilding is the core of the role, with restaurant interiors and props to follow if the collaboration works well. We have a greybox layout to build from, so scope is defined, not open-ended.
The deal: a negotiated percentage of net revenue, agreed in writing before work starts (we use a plain-language collaboration agreement covering scope, credit, and payment terms; happy to show it up front). Remote, flexible hours, EU-based but timezone doesn't matter much.
