hello people! is it me or, you can't paint accross 2 different materials? I'm trying to fix some texture seams between 2 separated meshes, that have their own texture set. Also, how do you start from an existing diffuse? (like you already have a map and want to paint over?
Well you can still do the painting inside SP (Since it's still painting emissive, just not displaying it with the pbr shader) but to preview your work for now you'll want to use Toolbag 2 or some other viewer.

Ah hell yes! I've been thinking about something like this for a long time, ever since I first saw Substance 2 at GDC a few years back. I looked into using Houdini for something like this, but this looks much more accessible and probably more useful since it's specialized for it. Can't wait!
I think i'm going to try option 2 and just see what happens. I already tried 4, 3 is not an option because i'm using default Painter without a cage file (used to always work, maybe not now?) Yesterday I deleted my parent dummy object, and this seemed to have fix one artefact.
